On Wednesday 7th August, this year’s barbeque, held for the second year running at a members house, proved to be a great success. The weather turned out fine, with glorious bright sunshine. 33 members and guests attended, including our friends from Worthing Community Chest, who were there for the Big Cheque presentation team photograph.
To accompany some delicious, sizzling barbeque food, there was an extensive salad bar and quiches, followed by strawberries and cream. The afternoon was rounded off by Michael Boddington, who so ably organised the raffle, announcing the winners in his own, inimitable style.
Thanks to Howard and Christine, Roy for being the other chef, Pauline for helping with the food preparation and to everyone else who helped with the organisation, for making this such an enjoyable afternoon.
