As nobody had been on holiday recently, (surprise, surprise), it was time to dig out some older footage and re-edit it, to make something worthy of entry into our annual club holiday competition, on Zoom of course.
And 10 films were entered. Howard Johnson put them all on a single YouTube Playlist for us, (with banners between illustrating titles and entrants and run-times), so we could watch them all through at a single viewing. The link was ‘chatted’ out by the Zoom host after members had been welcomed by our chairman. With a total running time of approximately 90 minutes, there was time afterwards for discussion about them and then the voting. This was done using the Zoom ‘polling’ feature. 3 films tied in the first round, so it was left to 3 members who were not logged into Zoom in their own right, to make the final decision.
And the winner was – new member Chris Morgan, for his beautiful film about Lisbon, Portugal. Congratulations to Chris and all the other entrants, for putting on a great evening’s entertainment. (Photo is of the Belem Tower on the waterfront in Lisbon).
